Coach Steve Butts is a seasoned wrestler and the head coach of Esteem Wrestling Academy, an independent program proudly hosted at Rolling Oak Jiu-Jitsu Academy.

Competing from 1997 to 2004, Steve earned two NCS medals and became a two-time SCL Champion, setting the Petaluma High School win record with an outstanding 131–39 record.

Since beginning his coaching career in 2005, he has developed more than 20 NCS medalists, multiple state qualifiers, and two CIF State medalists. His athletes have also excelled in Freestyle, Folkstyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling—earning numerous state titles, including four state champions.
